eBay confuzes me?

blapkitty asked:

This may sound a bit noobish, but I’m a little concerned on why eBay prices are so low! Why? I’ve seen sales on a yacht for 23 dollars and they sold it!! aren’t the sellers losing money?? I cant figure out where their profit comes from??!!

First of the bid should of just started

    Second of all
if u read the description it should say “yacht is not for sale” or something like that.or it says “Ways on how to buy a yaht”

Can you post the Item url in the details section on here so i can have a look.

they have auctions where the item doesn’t have to be sold unless the bid is high enough so even the auction ends and you see a high bid it doesn really mean that the item the item is sold

Just because its marked SOLD doesn’t mean money was exchanged expecially on large items such as yachts. 52% of all ebay auctions is fraud. Buyer beware!

I highly doubt that boats are selling for under $30. There might be a reserve and the auction ended at that. Most likely the highest bidder did not win the item.

Did you look at how much the shipping is? Cause if it’s a low price the shipping is usually the catch.

the yacht was probably damaged or something. The thing with Ebay is that about 95 % of the people that sell crap on there are theives. You know that they haven’t brought the merchandise. But I don’t ask questions. I like Ebay even if the people selling are crooks.

because low prices on the bids rise as teh days go by. a bid can start at 50 cents but bt the end of teh bid be as high as $100, besides ou have to factir in shipping too and besides if it were igh, then what would be the purpose of bidding online?

eBay is like a big yard sale. The seller decides what they want for the items. If they’re really valuable to them then the price will be higher. Sometimes people just want to get rid of stuff so what ever they get out of it is more than costing them a trip to the dump.

That one seems a little bit low, maybe it was just a model of a yacht!!!

Well big sellers can buy wholesale and sell stuff pretty cheap.. Many times a seller will start an auction off at a dollar..hoping that the market is such that there is enough demand that the bidders wil drive up the price to where he wants it. If a seller is not careful, and uses the wrong strategy, it could backfire badly. Recently my computer died, and I figured I could sell the memory chips that I just paid 30 bucks for for about 20 at least. So I started at $1. Sure enough, the top bid was 1 dollar!!!! Since I don’t want to risk a bad review, I did send my item. So my strategy backfired.
