The same reason he is taking money from people who were behind some of the most viscous and untruthful attacks against his campaign in 2000?

McCain doesn’t seem to be wholly aware of what his machine is up to.
I find this particularly disturbing after 7 years of Bush (who definitely had that problem).
The Presidency is first and foremost a management position. A good manager is aware of what his subordinates are up to.
While I can understand an eruption or two in all of the confusion of a campaign agenda, McCain seems to be getting his marching orders from a source that he has no control over.
We don’t need anymore of that crap.
